/ How Request OS Works

Request OS is a private AI workspace that connects directly to AI providers using your own API keys. Unlike AI chat products where your prompts are processed through a third-party backend, Request OS sends your requests directly from your browser to the AI provider — Claude (Anthropic), ChatGPT (OpenAI), Gemini (Google), or Llama via Groq.

The BYOK model means you pay the AI provider directly at their API rates — typically far cheaper than subscription tiers for moderate usage. You also keep full control over which model version you use, from frontier models to faster, cheaper options like GPT-4o-mini or Claude Haiku.

The Request Builder lets you describe what you want in plain language, pick a template, set tone and length, then preview and edit the full prompt before sending. The Phase 2 prompt preview shows exactly what the AI will receive — no black boxes.

/ Frequently Asked Questions
Is my API key safe?
Your key is stored only in your browser session and sent directly to the AI provider. MYRQAI servers never receive, log, or store your API key at any point.
What does cloud sync store?
Only your prompt text, AI outputs, template choices, and metadata. Never your provider keys. Sync uses a unique Workspace ID generated in your browser.
How much does it cost?
Request OS is free. You pay only for the AI API calls you make directly to the provider — typically pennies per request, far cheaper than monthly AI subscriptions.
Can I use it without an API key?
You can browse templates and build prompts without a key. Running requests requires a valid API key from at least one supported provider. Getting a key is free.
What is the Mission Engine?
Multi-step AI workflows that run parallel requests, judge-refine loops, and final synthesis — producing a complete output pack from a single mission goal.
Why compare models?
Different models excel at different tasks. Run Compare Models to see which gives the best result for your specific request before committing your tokens to one provider.
